Reader privacy
Wherever you are reading from, the same short set of rules applies.
What we never ask for
There is nothing to join. You will not find a login, a newsletter box, a place to comment or a payment page, and we do not sell anyone's personal data.
How readership is measured
Through Google Analytics 4, which drops cookies on your device. Google receives the pages you read, your browser and device type, the referrer, any outbound links you click, and a general location Google estimates on its own. Seeing which reports are read in which regions helps us decide what to cover next and what to improve. Cookie blocking in your browser stops it, and so does Google's browser add-on for opting out. Google's own terms are in its privacy policy.
What the host keeps
Standard server logs for running and protecting the site: when a request arrived, which URL it asked for, and the user agent.
Bots, counted apart
Crawlers from search engines and AI services are tallied in a record of their own, picked out by user agent. It notes the bot, the path and the time. Human readers are not in it, and it does not store IP addresses.
